U6 and U8 Games Cancelled 5-9-09

All U6 and U8 games scheduled for May 9th have been cancelled. If you have a candle order to turn in Dolores will be at the Owen County Public Library from Noon-2pm on Saturday 5-9-09.

Challenger Sports British Soccer Camp 2009

For the fourth year in a row I am pleased to announce that Challenger Sports will come to Owen County to host a British Soccer Camp for the Youth Soccer League. As a parent and coach I would highly recommend you make every effort to allow your child attend. They learn so much and have such a good time! As always, we will have a fundraiser which can help you pay for camp. If you wish to sign up early you may do so by following the link below. Don't worry, if you sign up now & then decide to do the fundraiser, you can be reimbursed for the monies you earn.

2009 Spring Registration

Registration for the spring 2009 season is underway! Registration will run through 2/28/09. Download & print your registration form from here or pick up one from the Owen County Public Library, DQ, or Croxton's Video. In addition, forms will be distributed at your child's school so look for it to come home soon!

The registration fee is as follows:

$40.00 for first child
$35.00 for every child beyond the first
$100.00 family maximum

OWEN COUNTY

U12 Field and U10 Field - Located near Monterey in southern Owen County just off US 127. Parking is available next to the field.

• From the south: Follow US 127 approximately 5 miles from the Owen County/Franklin County line to Sawdridge Creek Road. Turn right onto Sawdridge Creek Road. Entrance to the field is about 50 yards past the Monterey Volunteer Fire Department.

• From the North: Follow US 127 from Owenton approximately 11 miles to Sawdridge Creek Road, which is on the left just past the Monterey Market. Turn left onto Sawdridge Creek Road. Entrance to the field is about 50 yards past the Monterey Volunteer Fire Department.

U8 Field – Located on Ellis Highway adjacent to the Owen County Cooperative Extension Service Building in Owenton. Parking is available next to the field.

• From the south: Follow US 127 approximately 16 miles north from the Owen County/Franklin County line to Owenton. Turn left at the stoplight and follow US 127 north through Owenton approximately 1.5 miles. Turn right onto Ellis Highway at the sign for Owen County Park and Fairgrounds. The field is on the left approximately 100 yards from the turn.

• From the north: Follow US 127 south approximately 8.5 miles from the junction of US 127 & KY 35. Turn left onto Ellis Highway at the sign for Owen County Park and Fairgrounds. The field is on the left approximately 100 yards from the turn.

U6 Field – Located in the Owen County Park and Fairgrounds, off Ellis Highway, in Owenton. Parking is available next to the field.

• From the south: Follow US 127 approximately 16 miles north from the Owen County/Franklin County line to Owenton. Turn left at the stoplight and follow US 127 north through Owenton approximately 1.5 miles. Turn right onto Ellis Highway at the sign for Owen County Park and Fairgrounds. Follow Ellis Highway to the entrance for the park and turn left into the park. The field is on the left approximately 100 yards from the turn next to tennis courts.

• From the north: Follow US 127 south approximately 8.5 miles from the junction of US 127 & KY 35. Turn left onto Ellis Highway at the sign for Owen County Park and Fairgrounds. Follow Ellis Highway to the entrance for the park and turn left into the park. The field is on the left approximately 100 yards from the turn next to tennis courts.

FROM LAWRENCEBURG, FRANKFORT, OWENTON
GO SOUTH ON HWY. 127 TO DANVILLE. TURN LEFT ONTO RT. 150 EAST (BOYLE COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL IS LOCATED ON THE CORNER). PROCEED DOWN RT. 150 APPROXIMATELY 1/2 MILE. MILLENNIUM PARK IS ON YOUR LEFT.

FROM RICHMOND
TAKE US 52 SOUTH (WEST) TO DANVILLE. TURN RIGHT ONTO US 150 (STANFORD ROAD). TURN LEFT ONTO MAIN STREET. PROCEED O THROUGH TOWN TO MILLENNIUM PARK. TURN RIGHT INTO PARK.

FRANKFORT

FROM LAWRENCEBURG, DANVILLE, HARRODSBURG
TAKE U.S.127 SOUTH TO FRANKFORT. GET ON I-64 EAST TO EXIT 58. TURN LEFT ONTO U.S. 60. TURN RIGHT ONTO U.S. 460 EAST. GO TO FIRST STOP LIGHT AND TURN LEFT ONTO STEADMANTOWN LANE (FRANKLIN COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL AND GOLF COURSE ON LEFT). TAKE IMMEDIATE LEFT INTO LAKEVIEW PARK. FOLLOW THE ROAD AROUND TO SOCCER FIELDS IN BACK.

FROM SCOTT COUNTY, WINCHESTER, PARIS
TAKE U.S. 460 WEST TO FRANKFORT. TURN RIGHT ONTO STEADMANTOWN LANE (2ND STOPLIGHT AFTER BUCK RUN BAPTIST CHURCH). TAKE IMMEDIATE LEFT AND FOLLOW ROAD TO SOCCER FIELDS IN BACK.

COME INTO PARIS ON PARIS PIKE (US 27 N / US 68 E) AND TURN LEFT AT THE SECOND STOPLIGHT. BOURBON CO. SCHOOL ARE ON YOUR RIGHT. THIS IS THE US 27 N / US 68 E BYPASS. TRAVEL 3.2 MILES AND THE SOCCER COMPLEX IS ON YOUR RIGHT JUST BEFORE THE RAILROAD TACK CROSSES OVER TOP OF THE ROAD.

FROM GEORGETOWN
COME INTO PARIS ON US 460 E. TURN LEFT AT THE FIRST STOPLIGHT. THIS IS THE US 68 E. BYPASS. TRAVEL 1.7 MILES AND THE SOCCER COMPLEX IS ON THE RIGHT JUST BEFORE THE RAILROAD TRACK CROSSES OVER TOP OF THE ROAD.

FROM MAYSVILLE
COME INTO PARIS AND TURN RIGHT ON THE US 27 S / US 68 W BYPASS. TRAVEL ONLY 0.8 MILE AND THE SOCCER COMPLEX IS ON THE LEFT JUST AFTER YOU GO UNDER THE RAILROAD TRACK THAT IS OVER THE ROAD.

WINCHESTER

FROM LEXINGTON
INTERSTATE 64E TO EXIT 96. TURN LEFT ONTO RT 627. TURN LEFT AT BP STATION. TURN LEFT AFTER BP STATION AND TURN RIGHT TO FIELDS.
